Tsavorite Garnet
Chrome-green grossular discovered by Campbell Bridges near Kenya's Tsavo park in 1967 — 2000 times rarer than emerald. Kenya and Tanzania's Lelatema fields remain the only sources. Bridges famously mined inside a scorpion-guarded geode "pipe".
